Mrs. Moen, I’d like you to meet Ian Efron.  Ian is a high school student who lives in Galveston Bay in the Gulf of Mexico.  He is extremely hard working, very protective of his sister, and he loves to be on the ocean.  Ian is asked to go along with his sister on a yacht ride miles from any civilization.  He is very disappointed that he has to go on the trip with a guy that likes his sister, and all through the book there is a fued happening between Ian and this guy that likes his sister.  During this trip Ian experiences extremely terrible weather that brings out who Ian really is, which is actually his better side.  This weather jeopardizes Ian’s well being and in the end Ian makes it out alright along with his sister.
